What is LDL/HDL Ratio?
A calculated ratio comparing bad (LDL) cholesterol to good (HDL) cholesterol.
This is a calculated value from a standard lipid panel, not a separate blood test: it divides your LDL by your HDL (LDL divided by HDL). A higher ratio means more artery-clogging cholesterol relative to the protective kind and can be associated with greater cardiovascular risk, a lower ratio can be associated with a healthier balance.
