What is Basophils (Percent)?
The share of your white blood cells that are basophils, a type of immune cell, shown as a percentage.
Basophils are a small group of white blood cells involved in allergic and inflammatory responses. This percentage is the proportion version of the basophil count and pairs with the absolute basophil count, which gives the actual number. A higher or lower share can be associated with allergies, inflammation, or other blood changes. It is reported as part of a white blood cell differential.
